The latest Extron School of A/V Technologies held September 23 and 24 at the Heathrow/Windsor Marriott Hotel had the most attendees of any school in the UK to date. The two one-day training classes were attended by a total of 98 A/V system designers, engineers, sales engineers, and experienced systems salespeople.
A variety of topics were addressed, including Digital Video Signals, Fiber Optics: A/V at the Speed of Light, Twisted Pair Integration, and Video Image Processing. The classes also provided training on the new Extron Configurable Control Systems.
The School of A/V Technologies On the Road builds upon the existing knowledge of A/V professionals by exploring new concepts, techniques, technologies, tools, and applications. A/V professionals who complete this one-day school attain a thorough understanding of various A/V system features, and this knowledge is then applied in hands-on simulations in which participants are tasked with the planning and execution of real-world A/V scenarios. Upon conclusion of the school, participants are tested on their knowledge with a comprehensive exam.
