The MediaLink System Configurator is an online, drag-and-drop configuration utility that allows users to "build" MediaLink systems using the Extron Web site. The dynamic, graphical user interface makes system customization easy. Only the available choices are shown as you build your system. Helpful wizards ensure that only valid systems are built and vital accessories are included. You begin designing your system by selecting one of the base systems to be customized. In each base system, certain components can be changed. For example, a base system with two ceiling speakers can be upgraded to four or six speakers. Optional accessories can be added, such as wall plates and mounting hardware. You can also select component colors and associated connection cable lengths.
Each component you change or add shows up on the dynamic system diagram which also displays source input devices, such as VCRs, DVD players, and document cameras. Graphical connection diagrams show signal connectivity and component descriptions.
As you configure your system, a running price total and list of materials reflects the changes in your system design. You can save system designs for later recall. Extron resellers can order configured systems online through the Extron Reseller-only Web site. Best of all, the MediaLink System Configurator is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, absolutely free-of-charge.
The MediaLink System Configurator enables you to:
- Select from 21 base systems
- Customize system options such as speakers, wall plates, cables, and external sources using an intuitive drag-and-drop interface to select and place options to create a system diagram
- View base system application diagram and bill of materials, including quantities, product descriptions, part numbers, and pricing
- Choose panel colors, cable lengths, and other key accessories including projector mounts and IP Link® remote A/V resource management
- Print detailed system diagrams with list of materials for proposals or budgeting
- Save customized systems on the Extron Web site for later retrieval whenever you log in
- Export a list of the system's components to a Microsoft® Excel® file on your local computer for archiving or use in a project proposal
